Orders cannot be collected or paid for in person at the trading address. All enquiries and questions relating to the use of Cavy Capers web site and any order made should be raised in writing to the trading address or alternatively emailed to Enquiries@cavycapers.com.
A range of goods can be located by utilising the various menus at the sides of the page and by searching specific products in the top search bar.
To enable the ability to proceed with purchasing steps, registration with the shop site is necessary. Registering alone does not constitute any order agreement. Items can be added to basket, quantity specific. Clicking the ‘buy’ button only indicates its addition to the basket (the central area prior to placing the whole order, exclusive of delivery cost addition.) When desired items have been added, contents of basket, excluding delivery costs, can be viewed by clicking ‘view basket’. To proceed with order placement, clicking on the checkout button will take you to the order screen where your delivery and full order details are present, including any delivery charges and discounts entered. Agreement of this order screen page takes you to Paypal for process of payment.
NOTE: Registering with Paypal is not required for buying from Cavy Capers. Please ensure that you continue through the process at Paypal and return to Cavy Capers via the link button on the payment page; this is to guarantee correct and full order details are sent back to Cavy Capers order system. The customer’s acknowledgment of order screen and payment provision does not indicate any order acceptance by Cavy Capers. Any order is subject to stock availability and Cavy Capers’ ability to supply the goods. Orders rejected or cancelled at this stage will be wholly refunded to the customer. Binding Contract between customer and Cavy Capers begins when such goods have been despatched.
Full clearance of payment for orders must be received to enable progression of order process. Cavy Capers’ payment processor is Paypal. Paypal accepts most widely accepted credit or debit cards.
We do not penalise our customers: there is no minimum order value when buying from Cavy Capers and no fees are incurred by the customer for online credit and debit card payments using Paypal.
All products in the shop include current UK VAT rate of 17.5%.
We endeavour to process received orders by next day. Orders are not guaranteed for acceptance until they have been released for shipping. Any problems with an order will be raised by email from Cavy Capers at this time.
Orders are shipped using Royal Mail, using the most appropriate method depending on order size and weight.
Normal shipping timescales are between 3-7 days from process date from Cavy Capers. Some products may be despatched direct from the manufacturer. Some orders, including those sent direct from the manufacturer, may take approximately 14 days. Large orders may be split into separate consignments.
Customers will be updated on any information regarding delivery times when such information is available.
Delivery costs £3.99 inclusive of packaging, delivery and insurance rates for all orders shipped to a UK mainland address, orders outside the UK or not on UK mainland may be subject to additional delivery costs.
On special occasions Cavy Capers offers discounts on orders, redeemable by discount voucher codes. These discount voucher codes should be entered into the code box at the basket screen before proceeding to final checkout to ensure total cost amendment. Discounts applied are automatically deducted at checkout page.
Discounts are only applicable against cost of products in order and not against cost of delivery.

On the rare occasion that product description and product price may be incorrect or incomplete, Cavy Capers reserves the right to rectify such errors wherever on the site and refuse whole or part orders on the basis of such mistakes. Customers are not entitled to benefit from price or product errors and shall be notified of such issues should they arise.
Cavy Capers do not disclose or sell any customer information to third parties, with the exceptions of the passing of customer details to Paypal to enable correct payment procedure, and suppliers when items are despatched direct from the manufacturer. Customer details are only used and held on record for receipt purposes, order fulfilment and customer relationship care, including any online newsletters released. To withdraw from such Cavy Capers promotional email material, the customer can email to notify of such withdrawal. Cavy Capers do not endorse or send out spam, we only send email specifically related to the interest of the customer.
Unwanted items can be returned strictly within 14 days of the customer’s receipt of the parcel, and must be in the item’s original unopened packaging and in unused condition. Refund can only be made against the product’s price and not delivery charge. For the return of items, it is of the customer’s responsibility to ensure correct postage and packing for safe return. Any item received after the 14-day period and/or returned in bad or tampered condition shall incur an admin fee relevant to the nature and severity of the item’s condition, before refund.
Any product that fails to perform according to safety regulations and laws should be returned to Cavy Capers as soon as possible by recorded delivery. Full refund or replacement is offered to the customer in such cases, excluding the cost of postage and packing. Replacements are delivered at no charge to the customer.
Every customer is entitled to a 7-day cooling off period, according to the Distance Selling Regulations. This means that any order can be cancelled and refunded upon 7 days following the date the customer placed the order.
Any cancellations made after the despatch of part of or whole orders and/or after the 7-day cooling off period shall incur an admin fee of 20% of the total order and the whole cost of delivery before any refund is made.
Cavy Capers can at any time cancel part or whole of a customer’s order. Typical instances include, but are not limited to, the inability to source particular requested items, the inability to despatch to a certain address, country or property, when customer payment has failed and any unforeseen events or disasters which may affect the normal running procedures of business.
We aim to deal with all enquiries, problems or complaints as promptly as possible, but please allow 48 hours for acknowledgement of your letter or email.
