| i bought a guinea pig yesterday. its a female. her sides feel REALLY wide and when i had my hands on her stomach just to feel... i felt random tapping on around her tummy. could she be pregnant? and if she is, shes in a cage with my male right now. (they get along amazingly!!!) should i seperate them? id rather not, but if hes going to hurt her or the babies, ill do it. hes already tried mating her like 5 times that i know of (i had to go to work) please help. thank you! -Carrie |

| Hi Kirby. I think it's gonna be wise to get your vet to have a feel and do their thing to give you a better idea. It does sound like she may be pregnant. If she is then there's no real need to separate the two, however if the male keeps harassing her and trying to mate, then i would think about moving him out. A pregnant pig can do without this kind of upset which she won't appreciate at this time. See how they go (but first make sure she is pregnant and if not, i'd suggest you split them up now.) | ||
